The Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services (OIG) oversees federal health care programs including Medicare and Medi-Cal. The OIG may seek to exclude a health care provider from federal health care programs for several reasons such as a health care fraud or controlled substance conviction or making a false statement.

What if You Get Excluded?

The consequences of an OIG exclusion are vast and can be devastating for a health care provider. Such consequences include the inability to receive payments from federal health care programs, loss of hospital privileges, inability to work for other providers who receive funds from federal health care programs and disciplinary action against a professional license.

What We Do

We represent health care providers before the OIG in regard to administrative hearings contesting exclusions, appeals, applications for reinstatement, and requests for removal from the Lists of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

If you would like to speak with us to see how we may be able to help you with your OIG issue, please contact us at 213-465-1153 or online. We want to hear from you.
